Scope and Contents
Contains tape recordings of interviews of MSK doctors and significant individuals conducted by Archivist Diane Rosenwaser, Dr. Joseph Burchenal, and Dr. Nael Martini. This includes interviews with Katherine S. Douglas, Anna S. Craver, Laurance S. Rockefeller, and Drs. Higinbotham, Woodard, Cahan, Southam, Blady, Stock, Hutchison, Pool, Beattie, Quan, Tan, and Oettgen, among others. Also contains Hayes Martin's Collection of Tapes, which includes recordings of Chemotherapy Group meetings, Members meetings, seminars, and Research Group Advisory Committee meetings, and meetings of the Board of Scientific Consultants, well as memorial services for Dr G.C. Cotzias and Mary Petermann.

Biographical / Historical
Anna J. Sullivan Craver was born July 13, 1893 in Albany, New York. She married Lloyd F. Craver in October 1919. Lloyd Freeman Craver was born December 1, 1892 in Ohio. Craver graduated from high school in Albany, NY and in 1918, he received his M.D. from Cornell Medical College. He served 25 months in the Navy before beginning work at Memorial Hospital in 1920, where he served as an attending physician and chief of the lymphomas service from 1926 to 1950, becoming emeritus in 1950 until his retirement in 1962. Craver died on June 18, 1978 in Wantagh, New York.
