Scope Note: 1931-2004. Nael Martini was born in Aleppo, Syria and received his MD from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. He joined the Thoracic Service of Memorial Hospital in 1968. From 1970 to 1978, Martini served as Director of Surgical Education. From 1975 to 1990, he served as Chief of the Thoracic Service in the Department of Surgery. His work centered on the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer.
