Scope and Contents
Contains files collected by Dorris Hutchison relating to SKI administrator Bernhard L. Mecke and the history of MSKCC. Includes correspondence, clippings, invitations, and agreements relating to the early history of SKI along with reference materials for and a copy of Mecke's 1976 (?) revision of his reminiscence A Personal History of SKI. Also contains biographical information on Drs. Chester Stock and Kanematsu Sugiura as well as historical materials relating to C. P. Rhoads and MSKCC.

Biographical / Historical
Microbiologist and educator Dorris Hutchison began her career as a scientist and medical researcher at the Sloan Kettering Institute in 1951. She also held several faculty positions at the Sloan-Kettering Division, Graduate School of Medical Sciences at Cornell University, including Associate Dean from 1978 to 1987, and later was appointed emeritus professor.
