Biographical / Historical
In 1948, Bodansky joined the Sloan Kettering Institute as an Associate Member, beginning his studies on serum enzymes in cancer patients. Bodansky became Attending Clinical Biochemist at Memorial Hospital in 1948, and in 1956 took on the role of Chairman of the Department of Biochemistry, which he held until his retirement in 1967. He also served as Director of Clinical Research Training and President of the Medical Board at Memorial Hospital. Bodansky was also Professor of Biochemistry in the Sloan-Kettering Division of the Graduate School of Medical Sciences at Cornell University Medical College.
