Biographical / Historical
C. Chester Stock was educated at Johns Hopkins University, receiving a PhD in biochemistry. Stock served as a science director and vice president at MSK. In 1980, MSK established the C. Chester Stock Award Lectureship in his honor. Awards received include the Army-Navy Certificate of Merit and the 1965 Alfred P. Sloan Award in cancer research. Stock died on August 27, 2008, at the age of 98.
